    Environmental Justice Areas:

Environmental Justice Areas are areas affected by environmental injustices as determined by the Metropolitan Council. For example, insufficient tree canopy cover and increased susceptibility to climate change. In an effort to add tree canopy cover to these areas, addresses within Environmental Justice Areas (green on the map) will be able to purchase trees at $40 per tree. Those that qualify and are selected will be notified if they are to receive the discounted price.
